Hello Partners,
…If at first you do succeed—THEN DO IT AGAIN!!!
The Second Outreach Concert of Faith Family Church (FFC), Hong Kong, was a smashing success!
.
The attendees marveled at the transformation of the mild-mannered FFC sanctuary to the pulsating-filled effects of the concert stage.
.
The sanctuary was packed with FFC members, their friends, co-workers, and a number of recently invited people from the street-witnessing outreach that occurred only hours earlier.
All eyes were fastened on the powerful drama depicting the futility of materialism and its addictions and the power of Christ to set them free. The drama was performed by our visiting Faith to the Nations (FTTN) Young Adults team.
.
Steve preached and the team prayed for many who wanted prayer for salvation or personal need.
. .
Great Job! - FFC, FTTN, and the Fischer Family!!!
Meanwhile our FTTN team was busy making daily crossings into China with Christian Study Books and Bibles…
Rain or Shine.
.
Restocking the storehouse that has an insatiable appetite…
. .
After one crossing, they witnessed to the “Chinese Tech Geeks” in an English corner at a Software Engineering Company (the unaccredited people who really write the programs.)
The young man, in the picture on the right, writes software apps for IPhones. The reason for his big smile is that he just accepted Jesus as his savior and prayed the prayer of salvation with the team members.
. .
The FTTN team did an Evangelism Seminar; afterwards they went out witnessing in the neighborhood of FFC, and 12 people were saved. The team also ministered to the people of our church with prayer and encouragement.
.
The team loads up with a quarter-ton of Christian books and six suitcases of supplies for the orphanage brought from the US. Four Chinese from Faith Family Church join the team and they all head to Beijing.
The team infiltrates the populace and are met with many curious stares.
. .
Greeted with, “Have a Nice Journey” (non-verbal, of course) from the friendly train personal, the team settles in for their 24-hour journey.
. .
There were cheers at the orphanage when the team delivered six suitcases of hard-to-get supplies and medical equipment for the children.
Hugs, smiles, and love were the order of events for the day at the New Hope Foster Home, where every child has some type of physical defect or handicap, causing them to be abandon or unwanted by their parents.
. .
. .
A visit to the Great Wall, left all in awe as the weather was perfect and the sky was brilliant!
Some attractions just don’t get old…I suppose, because they are!!!
Some of our HK Chinese team members saw snow for the first time in their lives!
How can you tell the difference between warm-blooded HK Chinese and Native Beijing Chinese posing for a pictures in Tiananmen Square in sub-freezing temperatures? Hmmm…
.
Well satisfied with ministry and memories, the team navigates the extraordinary Beijing train station for the journey back to Hong Kong.
The team’s last day—To the HK Peak Tram and Beyond…
. .
The last supper with the team and newly made FFC friends, and, of course, a few more photo ops.
. .
THANK YOU 2011 YOUNG ADULTS TEAM!!!
