China Village Trip Part 2

The team continued to teach and minister to the orphans.

On several occasions the team laid hands on and prayed for all the orphans.
  

And for abandoned, abused and rejected children, lots of love, hugs and reassurance are insatiable.
   

Sharmin said she felt led to hold one particular boy on her lap as she prayed for him. 
As she prayed she said he began to weep and weep as she clutched him tightly.
  

In another situation, a family had heard about the team at the orphanage and that they were Christians.  Their young child had a problem with his head and needed an operation.  The parents brought their child to the team for prayer, but having never seen “white people,” the child screamed when anyone tried to enter the room.  However, our two Faith Family Church Chinese team members didn’t ‘scare’ the child, so they entered and laid hands on him. 

Several days later the parents returned elated with joy.  “He’s completely healed!” they proclaimed. 
All the tubes and medical insertions were gone from his head.  He even let the Westerners hold him. 

And a further testimony came from our two, FFC Chinese.  They were just as ecstatic as they said they’d never prayed for anyone to be healed, and how their knees were shaking when they entered the room—alone without the rest of the team—and prayed the prayer of faith for healing, and then the child was miraculously healed!  God is so good!!!

They thanked ‘Pastor Steve and Sharmin’ for teaching them about faith and for pushing them to step out
and pray for this young child.
  

The team spent three full-days at the orphanage giving the kids all their attention.
  

After a wonderful, God-filling experience, before the they departed, the team gave
the children hugs and received some gifts…
  

The team also went deep into the countryside to encourage some of our friends who represent the only
Christian family in their village.

Upon arriving they were greeted…”Welcome to our home”…

(This is one of the ‘wealthier’ families in the village seeing as they have cement blocks as walls of their house.)
  

The team listened to them talk and encouraged with them God’s Word…Oh—and, “thanks for the teddy bear!”
 

The team prayed for the whole family and bid them farewell…till next time…while their youngest child
still clings to his new friend.

Ministry is about people…and here’s some you meet on the road to Western China…

So how do you harvest the souls in a nation with over 1,000,000,000 unsaved people?

…the same way they harvest their rice…one stalk at a time…

In the picture above the team is holding books that will help train the Chinese to grow spiritually. 
Several of the older boys have already stated they want to go village to village—the way they did in the book of Acts—and preach the Gospel. 

We are so excited about the vision of this orphanage and the future of these young people. 
FFM financially supports this and other orphanages and the founders, who also, now attend Faith Family Church (when in HK) and are sent out from it.
