Greetings from Hong Kong!
After over a year of arranging dates and planning, the “Children’s Ministry” seminar became a reality. Training for Children’s Ministry is desperately needed in Hong Kong and especially mainland China where it is almost nonexistent.
Any kind of a Children’s Church would be the exception in a Chinese Church and when they finally do have some form of Children’s ministry they all to often resemble a school setting where the children are to do more studying
and memorizing.
This seminar brought our largest crowd yet. Over 90 people were in attendance on the first night consisting of children’s workers and pastors representing over 20 different denominations and churches throughout Hong Kong.

Steve and Sharmin both taught and ministered.

Also, and worth the wait, our special guests, Rev. Mike and Belinda Watson ministered. Mike and his wife are many years experienced Youth and Children’s Ministers and currently the Youth and Children’s Pastors from Agape Faith Church in Clemmons NC.

It is always such an honor to minister to Children’s Workers. It seems that every time we minister to them, some come up in tears and express how deeply grateful they are for being shown how important they and their ministry really are. Often they describe their situations where they are greatly unappreciated or even belittled.
The Chinese (and we all with them) have quite a task in evangelizing the Children of China. There are more Children in China than there are people in the United States, and especially in Mainland China Christian children’s material is almost nonexistent.
After ministering both nights, we laid hands on and prayed for all who desired.

The following Sunday we did a Children’s service for the hosting church in their main sanctuary and demonstrated to all who attended what was taught throughout the seminar.

Rev. Mike Watson preached the message (a kid’s message) and at the end of the service almost a dozen people, children and adults, came forward to receive salvation for the first time.

After the seminar, we took the Watson’s to
Beijing to deliver some Children’s teaching
materials and other Christian material to a
Pastor there. On the slow train to Beijing,
(30hrs) we always enjoy the introspective
view into the Chinese lifestyle and culture
through the panoramic train window.

A few weeks later, a group from NY came to
help us. We were the first, permitted into
this HK Government school, to host an
English Camp where we evangelized though
music, drama, and small group discussions.
First, they broke into smaller groups and
invented actions to Bible songs they would
then sing for the whole group.

MC’d by Joab they all performed their action
songs.

Our visiting group then performed a powerful
Evangelistic drama and then they all broke
up into small groups again to discuss what
they had seen. Following the final time of
sharing, everything concluded with prayer.
Based on the expression of the students,
they seemed to be quite sincere.

The group also helped us bring much needed materials and Bibles across the border and shared the Gospel with many in English corners concluding with a trip and materials delivery to Xian.

In Xian, we visited a government orphanage
where most of the workers are Chinese
Christians and friends of our Western
Missionary contact. All of the orphans have
some type of handicap or disability.

Xian is home to the Terracotta Warriors, one of the world’s largest archeological finds consisting of thousands of life size clay soldiers created by a former Chinese Emperor to guard his tomb. Outside the tomb local Chinese reenact traditional Chinese dances.

Thank you partners for all you do! We love
and appreciate you for enabling us to serve
the Chinese!!!
Thank you for your continued prayers and
support. We are here as an extension of
you!!!
